Meet KC

As a child, I was consumed by a passion for drawing, and I would often find myself doodling on any available surface, whether it was the back of a worksheet or a church program. The size of the paper was irrelevant, as I would always find a way to bring my imagination to life by drawing my favorite cartoon characters or simple scenes like houses or beaches. Although I occasionally got in trouble for drawing during class, my love for art only grew stronger. When my mom gave me a sketchbook, it was a pivotal moment in my life, as it provided me with a platform to express my creativity without limits. Now, I have the freedom to create as many cartoon characters, houses, and beaches as I desire.

In high school, I was fortunate to have an exceptional art teacher, Anthony Knight, who was not only talented but also humorous. His teaching methods were highly effective, and the skills I acquired in his class have been invaluable in shaping my business. From creating cartoon characters with diverse facial expressions to outlining my old artwork to create stencils, and mastering perspective drawing, I was thoroughly prepared for my artistic journey. I was so inspired by his class that I enrolled in it twice during my junior year, and during my senior year, I had the incredible opportunity to intern under him, where I gained valuable experience teaching and instructing drawing classes.

As I grew older, I came to understand that my passion for drawing was not only a hobby, but also a therapeutic outlet and a potent means of self-expression. I found solace in art, escaping my problems into a world of vibrant colors and creativity. I moved beyond drawing on paper, transitioning to canvas and incorporating paint to create artwork. Although initially hesitant to share my art with the world, fearing judgment, I began by sharing my cartoon artwork to build confidence. Eventually, I progressed to creating art that told a story, conveyed a message, or captured a moment in time, allowing viewers to connect with their experiences, as different colors are often tied to specific emotions like happiness, sadness, anger, or calmness.
